The Wild Card Book Review

The Wild Card Book Review

Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! Bonus blog post this week!

I am such a sucker for a GOOD hockey romance, and Stephanie Archer has never let me down. The Vancouver Storm series is one of my favorite hockey romance series, and the fifth and final book comes out February 3rd. So, let's get into it!

The Wild Card follows a single dad/hockey coach, Tate Ward, and a new staff member, Jordan Hathaway who must work together to save the team! Jordan is put in a very dire situation when she learns her dad is selling the Vancouver Storm hockey team, and a change in ownership could put her friends and their families jobs at risk. Jordan's dad wants her to help them win the Stanley Cup in exchange for keeping the team. Working together leads to a steamy, enemies to lovers romance. This brings all the banter, and a swoon worthy MMC.

This book has all the tropes you could want, age gap, coach x owner's daughter, single dad, slow burn, etc. Everything!

I loved being able to watch Jordan and Tate's relationship grow and develop. Tate was so sweet, supportive, and protective of Jordan. A man of his word and such a big family man. Jordan loves fiercely when she allows herself, and seeing her fall in love with Tate and his daughter was so heartwarming. The way she takes care of her friends and Tate was incredible. They were absolutely adorable together. The slow burn energy was totally worth it. Who doesn't love seeing a man lose control for a woman.

We also got sneak peaks into previous characters relationships. I just love it when authors allow us to still see the previous main couples and share the big milestones. It just brings the whole world together and makes the character's relationships so authentic. You couldn't ask for more as a reader.

Overall, I gave this book 4/5 stars. I absolutely loved it, and devoured this in one day.

I highly recommend checking out this entire series. You will not be disappointed!

Alright folks, that is all I have for this week! Come back next week for another blog post. As always, thank you for reading :)
