The Exorcist's House Book Review
Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! Spooky season is in full swing for me which, of course, means all the spooky reads. I saw The Exorcist’s House by Nick Roberts on Kindle Unlimited and decided to give it a go. So, let’s get into it!
In the Exorcist’s House, Psychologist, Daniel Hill, moves his family into a farmhouse in West Virginia, only to uncover a sealed well, a terrifying history of exorcisms, and an evil that was never truly gone.
I have to start by saying that this was not as terrifying as I thought it was going to be. Although, reading the first chapter upstairs alone in my house did freak me out a little, but after that I was fine.
Now this is on Kindle Unlimited and it's about 290ish pages. It's a very fast read. Honestly, a great quick read for spooky season. I really enjoyed how the author handled the mixed up memories the characters were having. It was so easy to follow and understand even though the characters themselves were so confused.
This definitely gave me "The Conjuring" vibes mixed with "Annabelle Creation." I would say fans of those movies would enjoy this book.
Overall, I will say I wasn't blown away. I thought it was good; it definitely could've been better, but at face value I would still recommend. Especially those that are just getting into the horror genre. This is a great book to dip your toe into. I gave it 3/5 stars.
Alright folks, that is all I have for this week! Come back next Wednesday for another blog post. As always, thank you for reading:)
