Grim Tidings Arc Review

Grim Tidings Arc Review

Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! Today, I am back with an arc review. I was lucky enough to be able to receive early access to Grim Tidings by B.K. Borison, the sequel to Good Spirits and the second book in the Ghosted series. So, let's get into it!

Grim Tidings is a paranormal romance about Darcy , a Grim Reaper who’s grown tired of being seen as the villain. Instead of collecting her next soul, she decides to save him — which puts her directly at odds with Gabriel, a protective Guardian Angel who immediately distrusts her.

As the two clash, they begin developing feelings for each other while trying to outrun the supernatural bureaucracy hunting Darcy down. It’s a spooky, cozy enemies-to-lovers romance!

This book was everything I wanted and more. I love the relationship between Darcy and Gabriel. This fills my fantasy cup without feeling weighed down in a fantasy world with all kinds of magical rules. Without all the extra fantasy hoopla there usually is. Everything was so easy to keep straight and to keep track of. It was a perfect balance of fantasy and romance.

I loved Good Spirits and was thrilled to hear there was going to be another Ghosted book especially when the main characters are a Grim Reaper and a Guardian Angel. Honestly, such a unique idea. I love the idea of supernatural beings who are supposed to be at odds with one another finding the complete opposite instead. It feels my fallen angel – Hush, Hush cup too.

The chemistry between Darcy and Gabriel was off the charts. I loved, LOVED Gabriel. A man obsessed, a mean yearning – he was so perfectly written. The way he fought for Darcy and seeing her become so important to him made me giddy while reading. Then there’s sweet, sweet Darcy. I literally just wanted to give her a hug. I’m so happy she was able to let Gabriel in. The idea of them working on her bucket list was so sweet and a micro-trope I really love.

Also, I thought the ending was wrapped up in a really clever way. I won't give any spoilers, but I honestly didn’t know what to expect. Everything about this book was so well done. I know I'm going to be thinking about this one for awhile.

AND I hope we get to learn more about Gideon. He seems like a really interesting character that I would love to know more about.

Overall, I gave this 5/5 stars, and I loved every single second of it. I highly recommend Grim Tidings which is out September 15th! A perfect fall read!

Alright folks, that is all I have for this week! Come back next week for another blog post. As always, thank you for reading :)
