ACOTAR UPDATES!

ACOTAR UPDATES!

Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! It has finally happened! We finally have an update on the ACOTAR series. If you’re not up to speed, best-selling author, Sarah J. Maas appeared on the latest episode of Call Her Daddy where she announced not just ACOTAR book 6 but also ACOTAR book 7.

I thought what Maas had to say on the podcast was really interesting. The wait between books 5 and 6 was long because she needed to be ready to tell the story. In my personal opinion, the third Crescent City book felt really rushed and unlike Mass’ usual style. Whether she felt rushed from the fans or from her publisher, we don’t know. My guess is the latter, but at this point it’s all hearsay.

Anyways, we are getting the next TWO ACTOAR books. The next part of the ACOTAR story will be told in four parts over the span of three books. So, book one will be part one. Book two will be parts two and three and then book four will be part four.

As much as it pains me to say, I am glad Maas decided to wait. This is such a beloved series that we as a fandom have to let her do it justice. The last thing we want is anything subpar.

Back to the podcast, we got a lot of insight about Maas and the struggles she’s been going through over the last couple of years. Her speaking about it offered a lot of insight to the readers about Feyre’s pregnancy and Nesta’s mental health battle. It honestly made all of A Court of Silver Flames more vulnerable.

I cannot wait to see the titles and covers. Based on what was said during the interview, Maas made it seem like this next section of ACOTAR was going to be extremely different. My first thought is that the POV structure is going to follow Throne of Glass in third person omniscient. We saw a different POV structure in A Court of Silver Flames. We’ve been used to just Feyre’s point of view, and I have a whole theory about this. With the story expanding so much, we need more and need to learn more quickly. More than in the constraints that only one character allows.

I’m so excited for the next installments in the series. We’ve been waiting a very long time, and I am so glad this series didn’t just fade out or turn into Game of Thrones.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this announcement, and I can’t wait to find out more.

Alright folks, that is all I have for this week! Come back next week for another blog post. As always, thank you for reading :)
